Johannesburg
Airports
There are two major public Johannesburg Airports.
The bigger, and the better known, of the Johannesburg Airports, is OR Tambo International Airport which is Africa’s busiest airport, and where you’re likely to first touch the hallowed ground of Africa.
Lanseria International Airport is the second of Johannesburg Airports, but is South Africa’s busiest private airport.
Although it originally handled private, corporate and charter flights, it is today a major hub for scheduled low cost airlines that fly the most popular routes in South Africa as well as to those in neighbouring countries.
